WE BELIEVE that our ministry to the youth should be a 24/7 lifestyle and is not to be limited to two services a week.

WE BELIEVE we are to impact the lives of this generation and to be an example of the transformation that comes through following the word of God on a practical everyday level.

WE BELIEVE in living our lives in such a way that the world around us, and eternity will never be the same.

WHO WE ARE: REFUGE STAFF

Dan and Regan Brodeur

Dan & Regan have been the Student Ministry Directors at the Refuge for the past 9 years. They where high school sweethearts who now share two wonderful children (Marley and Jay) and they have a love for youth ministry only rivaled by their love for God and each other. Their vision is not only to see how many lives can be touched by God through their ministry, but rather how many lives can be transformed. Their desire has always been to see the lives of youth changed for Christ by setting a strong living example and through solid relationships with the students.

Uche and Esosa Nwambuonwo

Uche & Esosa are the associate Youth Pastors at the Refuge and they focus mainly on fringe ministry. This consists of campus ministry (all types of schools) as well as a focus on Christian kids whose affections have turned away from God. They recently married but have know each since they were toddlers. They both participate in many other aspects of the Refuge including dance, drama, discipleship, and traveling evangelism. They are a wonderful blessing to our ministry and a great example of Christ.

Sean and Candace Myers

Sean & Candace have been a part of The Refuge for a little over 7 years. Arriving as teenagers, they went through the discipleship program as students which helped them become the great disciplers they are today. They recently had a baby boy who they named Corban Luke Myers. While Candace works in the real-estate business, Sean works under the Youth and Outreach departments at our church. They both believe strongly in discipleship and evangelism to the unsaved. Most importantly, they believe there needs to be a change in the world but that will only happen when someone is fully open to GOD.

Brent and Michelle Spore

Brent & Michelle have been part of The Refuge leadership team since 1999. Having both come from minister’s homes, they believe strongly that Christians must base their faith on knowing Christ personally. Both have been in extensive ministry for over 16 years, and it has been in the past six years that they have had the privilege of directing the Refuge Summer Master’s Commission program. RSMC is a rigorous discipleship program for teenagers serious about taking their relationship with God to the next level. Brent is a media production business owner while Michelle tries to keep him organized. Both are totally in love with their new baby daughter, Cadence Elizabeth.

Rachel Oludiji, Grace Amankwe, and Micah Hernandez

Rachel, Grace & Micah have all been a part of the Refuge Youth Ministry for approximately 7 years. These leaders have grown through the ministry as a students and have been involved in leadership for over 5 years. As they have each grown in their walks with God through discipleship and leadership, they feel that God has given them a passion to impact the lives of the teens of the Refuge through worship. This team has had the priviledge being the Refuge praise and worship leaders for over 2 years. Their heart is to raise up worshippers who are transformed through worshipping God in spirit and in truth.
